THE cooling towers of Didcot’s power station have been depicted as Oxfordshire’s Stonehenge by an artist whose work is on show at an Oxford gallery.
The 23 oil and board landscape paintings by Anna Dillon, who lives near Wallingford, are hanging at the O3 Gallery at Oxford Castle until October 27.
She said: “I have developed my style using bold and strong colour which reflect the form, contours and light of the land.”
The Isles of Colour exhibition includes work from across the UK and Ireland.
Uffington’s White Horse Hill and Wittenham Clumps near Dorchester are also featured.
So too is the painting The Industrial Henge, which compares Didcot’s power stations to Stonehenge, the prehistoric stone circle in Wiltshire.
