INGENIOUS Jack Childs put all his might into getting his green handmade pizza box car to whizz across the finish line at a school eco-friendly demonstration for youngsters.
Jack, 10, left, was one of eight Wolvercote Primary School children to attend the Oxfordshire Schools Green Conference.
Fifteen primary and secondary schools headed to the Town Hall, in St Aldate’s, on Wednesday to learn about being environmentally friendly.
Jack said: “It was really, really fun and very interesting.
“We learnt lots about what we could do to make our school greener.
“We were given a bag of re-used items that we had to make a car out of that could be propelled. After you blew up the balloon and let go the car would shoot forward.
“There was a competition, but unfortunately our pizza box car didn’t win.”
