Burglars stole more than £500 and caused more than £2,000 worth of damage after raiding a charity shop in Abingdon.

The Kathryn Turner Trust shop, which raises cash for the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Families Association (SSAFA), was targeted at about 8.30pm on Friday, October 4, but police only released the details yesterday.

Three men smashed a ground floor window at the Suffolk Way shop and stole cash, a laptop and a collection tin.

Police described one of the suspects as slim and white, in his early 20s, with a large nose. Two of the thieves were wearing light Adidas hoodies and black gloves.

Anyone with information should call the police on 101.
