Firefighters tackled a chimney blaze in Manor Crescent, Standlake for almost two hours.
Crews from Witney, Abingdon attended and the hydraulic platform from Oxford was needed at the scene at about 7.50pm on Thursday.
Firefighters left the scene at 9.40pm. No one was hurt.
