Sir - It has always been my belief that if a law is being broken with police knowledge, then appropriate action would be taken.
However, whereas prior to the hunting ban, police officers were frequently and very noticeably present - for instance, 24 on one occasion, three vans of officers on another - and elaborate recording of all our personal details took place time and time again, the post-ban reaction to reports of illegal hunting are frequently met with the response that we should present our evidence to the police station, because officers now are far too busy, woefully under-resourced and that the issue of illegal hunting is not an issue. So that's that then, is it?
We would really, really like some answers, as would the majority of the population, because they voted for a ban on an outmoded cruel sport that is still being carried on throughout the land, apparently with impunity.
