ENGINEERS were today still working to reconnect hundreds of homes in Oxfordshire and Berkshire left without gas, after a pipe was damaged.
About 1,500 homes in Goring, South Stoke and Streatley were affected by the problem which started on Thursday afternoon.
According to a Southern Gas Networks spokesman, engineers have checked all affected properties to make them safe and are working to restore supplies by the end of the weekend.
The company apologised for the disruption.
