I am writing about the axing of the 4C bus to Dean Court.
I have read all the recent coverage regarding the axing of the 4C from both sides of the table and there is a simple solution.
Combine the 4A with the 4C. As the 4A travels down the Cumnor Hill, could it not turn left onto the Eynsham Road, on up into Dean Court to drop off/pick up passengers, then out onto the Eynsham Road again, to progress into Oxford? This would add about 10 minutes to the 4A journey. ‘Dean Courters’ would get a much-improved service, currently one bus per hour, the bus company will have, in effect, axed the 4C and be hailed as the ‘heroes of the hour’.
At the very least they should give it a trial of six months, or so, to prove its effectiveness. JENNY SHEPHERD Deanfield Road Botley Oxford
