A LORRY driver who died after a crash which occurred while police cleared a dead badger from the A34 has been named.
Jose Antonio Castro-Gonzalez, 61, from Bedford, died in Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital after the incident last Friday.
Two lorries collided while a police officer was removing a dead badger from the road by Marcham at about 3am.
The incident caused major delays as three of the road’s four lanes were closed for nine hours while police investigated and wreckage was cleared.
Thames Valley Police said it had referred the incident to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
