A man who was killed by a train near Charlbury has been named as rail worker Dennis Williams.
The inquest into the death of the 52-year-old, of Duffryn View, Rhymney, Gwent, was opened and adjourned yesterday.
He was hit by a First Great Western train travelling from London Paddington to Great Malvern on February 26 at 11.40am at the Catsham Lane Bridge.
Oxfordshire Coroner Darren Salter said: “The circumstances as to how he came to be on the tracks are subject to further investigation.”
Cause of death was multiple injuries. The inquest was adjourned until September 10.
