THE West should keep out of foreign politics until they sort out their own problems at home. One prime example is that the Government can take children into care because they are obese, while they allow other children to be killed by dogs which their parents should be banned from owning.

Vets deal with such families every day, but fail to offer the authorities any recommendations like imposing a ban on backyard breeders who sell puppies for hundreds of pounds, while claiming state benefits.

Oxford Mail: Calls over dangerous dogs

Dog-owners must be regulated, says Hugh Manning

The very least which should be done is to introduce strict legislation which ensures only licensed dog breeders, who are heavily-monitored, should be allowed to breed dogs, and no dog should be sold until it is neutered and microchipped.

Muzzling all dangerous breeds and keeping them on a lead in public should be legal requirements immediately, carrying a heavy fine or prison sentence for anyone breaking this law.
