The jury has retired to consider its verdict in the case of a bouncer accused of raping a woman in a town strip club.

Ali Kacani, 32, of Lidsey Road, Banbury, denies two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, allegedly carried out in the early hours of December 29 last year.

The woman has accused the defendant of forcing himself on her at around 5am after she fell asleep in a toilet at the Venus nightclub, but he says they had consensual sex.

The jury will continue its deliberations this morning.
