POLICE have this morning ruled out arson as the cause of a massive fire at Burford Laundry.

The blaze broke out at the laundry in Witney Street just after 9.30pm on Tuesday and firefighters from Burford, Witney, Bampton, Eynsham and Kidlington stations battled to stop it spreading to neighbouring buildings.

Fire crews remained at the scene until 4pm yesterday.

Police spokesman Chris Kearney said there was no suspicion of arson this morning.

Kidlington station manager Julian Green praised the crews for their swift efforts in stopping the fire spreading to adjacent buildings.
