TWICE yesterday while on country roads, we passed (very carefully) tractors. Obvious enough but attached to the back of these huge workhorses was machinery (possibly mowers) that protruded at least a couple of feet beyond the width of the tractors’ large rear wheels.
On both occasions these attachments were not obvious as they were dirty, so blended with the road surface.
Also, the ends on the machinery were beyond the centre of the road, leaving little room for passing vehicles in the opposite direction.
Surely these overhanging parts should have orange flashing lights at the extremities, making them visibly obvious.
