FAMILIES in Bicester facing tough financial times will get an Easter treat thanks to local firms.
For the second year running recruitment firm Plus One Personnel asked businesses to donate chocolate eggs for Bicester Foodbank.
Last week 60 eggs were handed over ready for food parcels.
Claire Randall, senior recruitment consultant at Plus One Personnel, said: “We wanted to help those families whose Easter won’t be about eggs and chocolate, it will be a struggle to put even the most basic of food on the table.
“We are proud to support the Bicester Foodbank again and have collected chocolate treats to add to each food box to help put a smile on the face of an underprivileged child this Easter.”
Janet Ray, founder of the Victoria Road foodbank, said: “It’s just lovely to give eggs out. I have given some out already and their little faces light up. It’s good of people to do it for us. It’s just something extra to give because we give the basic foods.”
