Or is this just another example of too-many over-priced pubs and bars in central Oxford chasing not enough customers with money to burn in their pockets? Pal of mine had friemds over from France at Easter, and they were apparently amazed at how expensive Oxford jad become since their last visit 20 years ago, and how the shops and fast-food outlets weren't unique family-run businesses, but the same as can be found in any large British town or city.

The living room took the p with the prices of drinks,i doubt if it will change while people are willing to pay,i notice most people have a few before they leave the house and then visit reasonably priced pubs such as Weatherspoons before going late to such pubs as the living room.....Oxford city centre is drab and hasn't had a decent atmosphere since George street was taken over by the restaurant peeps.....just been to Nottingham and even for a Tuesday night the pubs etc had loads in them................ Oxford is crap and always has been really including the shopping experience.
