I am writing in reply to Sue Holden’s letter (‘A pillar of community for many, many years’, May 26).
In my 57 years of being on planet earth I have tried most of that time in helping and giving support to many people.
Could I remind Sue that we live in a democracy, I am allowed a point of view the same as anyone else.
When I received verbal abuse and threats of legal action for expressing a view that others did not agree with, that puts voicing an opinion under threat as I have found out living in Meadow Brook. If you don’t go with the flow, watch out.
I will always air my point of view where I think I need to – whether it offends others or not. I will always have the greatest respect for older people reaching 100.
