IN response to Chris Stevens’s letter (Having the women’s results at top is political correctness gone mad, May 28): I’m a mum of a 15-year-old girl who has played football for the last seven years.
Football is her passion and her life. She is hoping to make a career in it. She is also pretty damn good at it, which is the case with a lot of girls in her league and who we’ve been lucky enough to watch.
Well done to Bruce Taylor (Women’s football has improved massively since I watched in 1980s, May 30). Thank you for sticking up for women’s football and good advice to Mr Stevens – go out and watch a few matches of women’s and girls’ football.
