Work is continuing on upgrading a major junction in Oxford.
Oxfordshire County Council is spending £6m on turning the Kennington roundabout at the southern end of Abingdon Road into a “hamburger” style junction, featuring a new carriageway going through the central island.
But this has caused traffic delays in the area.
Work on the scheme, which will create a new, separate lane for traffic heading from Heyford Hill into Abingdon Road, started this week and is due to continue until November.
The existing hamburger roundabouts, at Green Road, Headington, and Heyford Hill, have had a dramatic impact on traffic jams.
