A MAN attempted to burgle a house in Ashhurst Way while the woman who lived there was working in the front garden.

The victim was gardening on Friday at 10.20am when a man distracted her, allowing a second man to enter the house.

He was then confronted by the victim’s granddaughter who was upstairs and asked him to leave.
Nothing was stolen during the incident.

The first offender was in his late thirties to early forties, around 5ft4ins tall and of a stocky build.

He wore a shiny black jacket with zips over the pockets on the front, black jeans and black trainers.

The second offender was in his late forties, had a long face and short hair.

Anyone with any information can contact Thames Valley Police on 101.
