Two men, one wearing a Halloween-style mask, robbed a passer-by in Oxford.

The thieves forced him to hand over a bag containing his mobile phone and bank card. Police appealed today for witnesses after the 33-year-old man was confronted in South Parade, Summertown, in the early hours of Friday (March 2).

The two men ran off with the bag containing work clothes, his mobile phone and a bank card. Pc Jo-Anne Downer, of Oxford Police's robbery team, said: "There is not very much in the way of description of the two offenders beyond that one was a black male and the other one was wearing a Halloween-style mask.

"The black male was 6ft tall, medium build, and wearing a light-coloured hooded top with a scarf up to his nose.

"The offender wearing the mask was 6ft 2ins tall and slim. I have been contacted by one person who lived nearby and heard a noise and looked out of their window.

"I hope other people in the area may also have heard or seen something and I would appeal for them to get in touch."
