The early Bank Holiday finish is causing traffic problems on the routes in and out of Oxford this afternoon.
Trouble spots where traffic is moving slowly include the A4142 Eastern Bypass and the A34, where traffic is moving slowly on the southbound carriageway, at the A4150 Milton Interchange to the A415 Marcham Road.
On the A420 traffic is moving slowly due to road works, as is the A40 westbound at Cassington, between the Wolvercote roundabout and the B4449 Eynsham roundabout.
Stagecoach is also reporting 15 minute delays on its Oxford bus services as the afternoon progresses.
There are currently delays of up to one hour on CrossCountry train services between Oxford and Birmingham New Street due to broken down train at Leamington Spa.
As of yet there is there's no estimate for when a normal service will resume. Chiltern Rail services running northwards from Banbury are also being delayed.
