POPULAR singer Marina Diamandis, better known as Marina and the Diamonds, was in Oxford yesterday evening to talk about fans, pop music and the song-writing industry.
The Welsh singer-songwriter said it was an "honour" to talk at the Oxford Union yesterday.
She said on her Twitter account after the event: "It was such an honour to be invited to come and talk. Thank you for having me, Oxford. I had a wonderful time!"
The superstar, known for performing "Primadonna", "Froot" and "Teen Idle" even took questions from the audience after her talk.
During the event she told audience members: "My favourite song to write was Froot; my favourite to perform is Bubblegum Bitch.
"What matters is not how many fans you have, but what type of fans you have. And I'm very lucky with the fans I have."
