ENGLAND rugby star Mike Brown has donated some of his training kits to raise vital cash for patients with injuries and disabilities.
The International and Harlequins full back has donated his training kits to the CLEAR Unit at Oxford Brookes University, which will auction them off.
The Clinical Exercise and Rehabilitation (CLEAR) Unit works with children and adults with brain and spinal injuries, learning difficulties and long-term neurological disabilities.
The unit, at the university's Department of Sport and Health Sciences, allows people to participate in sports and exercise in a specialist environment.
Its aim is to help increase fitness and independence. improve their range of movement, reduce or slow the impact of their conditions and build their confidence and self esteem.
Brown is a special ambassador for the CLEAR Trust, which he became interested in after suffering a concussion during last year's Six Nations tournament.
Dr Andy Meaney, Clinical Study Project Manager at the CLEAR Unit, said: "The children, adults and student interns who attend the CLEAR Unit are now looking forward to Mike paying a special visit to the Unit at the end of the season.
"We wish him every success during the rest of the Six Nations and sincerely hope he remains injury-free during the forthcoming games with Italy, Ireland, Wales and France."
