AN "INTERIOR landscaping company" will celebrate "National Plants at Work Week" by giving out free potted plants.

Ambius, a subsidiary of global pest control giant Rentokil, will be handing out ferns and ficuses at Oxford Science Park on Monday from midday to 2pm.

The firm, which describes itself as "the world’s largest interior landscaping company", helps other companies find the right plants to put in their offices.

Ambius head of innovation Kenneth Freeman said: "National Plants at Work Week (NPWW) is a great way to promote a healthy and green working environment.

"Bringing plants into the workplace can pay huge dividends in terms of wellbeing, attention span and creativity.

"It can also make a massive difference to businesses and help to improve both employee job satisfaction and their productivity."

Next week's nationwide celebration of houseplants will be the fourth annual NPWW.

Office workers are invited to join Ambius and pick up a free plant at the reception of the Magdalen Centre at the science park on Monday.

Company experts will be handing out free desk plants and offering advice on the benefits of plants in the workspace.
