A CAR burst into flames in a car park at the Peartree Interchange yesterday.
Firefighters were called to the blaze in the North Oxford service station, which started at about 4.15pm.
The driver of vehicle, who did not want to be named, said she ran over to the petrol station to get a fire extinguisher, but the flames spread quickly, so she called the fire service.
She added she was on the A34 when the fire started.
Eye witness Waz Afsar, from Iffley, said he was on his way to an appointment when he saw the car on fire.
The 23-year-old added: "It was on fire for about 10, 15 minutes and started to get bigger."
