David Cameron's mother has won an award for campaigning to save Oxfordshire's Children's Centres hit by cuts his government brought in.
Mary Cameron was crowned 'Mother Knows Best of the Year' as she signed a 10,000-strong petition opposing plans to close centres across the county.
She was persuaded to sign the petition by her sister, Mrs Currie, who lives in Oxford and is a staunch supporter of the centres.
The Oldie of the Year Awards, held on Tuesday at London's Simpson's-in-the-Strand, are held annually.
American senator Bernie Sanders, whose brother Larry lives in Oxford, was given the Should-Have-Been of the Year award after he rose to global prominence as the challenger to Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination.
