DRIVERS in the south of Oxford should find the worst traffic jams behind them after Thames Water completed sewer works in Abingdon Road.
A section of the road was closed last week, causing long delays in one of Oxford's busiest thoroughfares.
The affected area was near Western Road, with a bus stop also closed.
Temporary traffic lights installed by Oxfordshire County Council last week and due to be in place until March 3 have been removed.
Thames Water spokeswoman Becky Trotman said: "The traffic lights have gone as we’ve finished the work we were doing there.
"We’ve got a little more work to do on the sewer but that will be done overnight to minimise disruption and will be done one night within the next week or so."
