A VERY special night club will celebrate its fifth birthday this month with a summer ball.
The monthly Groove It! night at Shush in Wantage was set up shortly after the venue opened.
The event is like any other nightclub except it is run specially for adults with learning difficulties.
‘Groove It!’ was the name that regulars came up with after being asked to vote.
Welcoming any Adults who have learning difficulties or problems socialising in a conventional situation, the night now sees 100 clubbers from Witney, Newbury, Swindon and Oxford as well as Wantage and surrounding villages.
The summer ball is being held at Shush on Thursday, July 13, from 7-10pm. Entry is £5 but carers can come for free. There is no dress code, ‘just be ready to have fun’.
