THE Oxford Playhouse is full of children’s laughter and unscripted shout outs with Jack and the Beanstalk now in full swing.

The script, written by Steve Marmion - writer and director for the third time - brings a contemporary edge to a traditional panto.

Amrou Al-Kadhi makes his panto debut as the baddie, Judy Henchman.

Paul Barnhill, first seen at Oxford Playhouse as the baddie Abanazer in Aladdin two years ago, returns to play Jack’s mother, Dame Trott.

Ricky Oakley plays Jack and Jennifer Wakefield, a former Bicester Primary School teacher will be Jill.

The stage will also see the talents of around 20 Oxfordshire youngsters.

Tickets for Jack and the Beanstalk at Oxford Playhouse start at £15 and are available from the Ticket Office on: 01865 305305 or can be booked online at:oxfordplayhouse.com
