A MAN charged with poisoning seven police officers with a noxious substance at a north Oxford flat has appeared in court.
Hamad Nejad, of Elizabeth Jennings Way, Summertown, Oxford, is charged with one count of administering a poison to inflict grievous bodily harm and another of intimidation of a witness.
The 34-year old pleaded not guilty at Oxford Crown Court today to the single count of intimidation but did not enter a formal plea for the charge of causing grievous bodily harm.
The charge of administering a poison is in connection with an incident which took place at a flat at Elizabeth Jennings Way on the morning of November 9.
Seven police officers attended the property shortly after 5.16am and on entering they allegedly came into contact with a noxious substance.
60 residents of the flats were evacuated.
The witness intimidation charge relates to an incident on one individual between July 26 and August 9 this year.
His trial is set to take place at the same court on April 3 next year and is expected to last five days.
