Pensioner Victor Hearne described it as the "proudest day of my life" - and rightly so.
Had it not been for him, police would have struggled to secure convictions against three men who murdered Oxford student Arash Ghorbani-Zarin.
He spotted a bag being thrown from a car - and the bag contained a knife which led to the killers.
Mr Hearne well deserves his Chief Constable's Commendation.
