A series of classical concerts is being held in Oxford for people suffering from dementia and their carers.
Musicians from the Orchestra of St John's will perform at the Jacqueline du Pré Music Building, at St Hilda's College, Cowley Place,, to an audience that will be encouraged to sing along.
The concerts have been designed with help from dementia charities, such as the Alzheimer's Society.
They will start with a programme of classical music and popular singalongs next Thursday, featuring pianist Derek Paravicini, who has severe learning difficulties and is registered blind.
Orchestra artistic director John Lubbock said: "We're delighted to have this opportunity to bring live music into the community that can really make a difference to people with dementia and their carers."
The final concerts take place in February and May next year.
The musicians will also make visits to day centres in Oxford.
