An historic pub in South Oxfordshire has been given a one-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
The Rainbow Inn in Middle Assendon, near Henley, was given the minimum score by the Food Standards Agency after an inspection on January 17.
The food safety officer found the 17th century country pub required major improvements to its management of food safety.
They found the hygienic food handling by the pub also required improvement but said the cleanliness and condition of its facilities and building were generally satisfactory.
The agency also handed out a three-out-of-five rating to Mama Thai, a Thai restaurant based in The Queens Head in Church Road, Horspath, after another inspection on January 17.
