A poetry event in Didcot brought out the crowds this weekend.
The ‘Local Poets Event’ at the Cornerstone Arts Centre on Saturday afternoon saw performances from five speakers.
The roster included Claire Cox whose poems have been published in Ink Sweat & Tears, Magma, Spelt, Envoi, Butcher’s Dog, Anthropocene, Lighthouse, and Poetry Salzburg Review.

She was joined in the line-up by Susan Utting, whose latest publication ‘Half the Human Race: New and Selected Poems’ recently hit the shelves.
Poems were also performed by Christopher Horton, a prize winner in the National Poetry Competition, Vanessa Lampert, an acupuncturist and poet from Oxfordshire, and Julie Whiting, whose debut collection Folding Time was published in October 2022.
Cornerstone is a purpose-built, professional arts, culture and entertainment venue in the heart of Didcot run by South Oxfordshire District Council.
