ATHLETICS: Oxfordshire's Kirsty Warland continued her golden run with victory for England in the Schools International Athletic Board (SIAB) Track & Field International at Bedford.
The 16-year-old, from Wheatley Park, was called up to represent her country after striking gold in the 80m hurdles at the English Schools' Track & Field Championships at Gateshead the previous weekend.
And she produced another superb run to beat England teammate Chanel Taite, who had finished second to her in the north-east, in a photo-finish, the pair both recording 11.29secs.
Ireland's Catherine McManus was third in 11.50.
Oxfordshire's Danielle Anderson also represented England, winning silver in the javelin with a personal best throw of 42.69m.
The teenager, from Matthew Arnold, Cumnor, was again pipped by England teammate Izzy Jelfs, who threw 43.49m, to confirm the placings from Gateshead.
Wales's Mary Wilson was well back in third with 34.93m.
Warland and Anderson's efforts helped England win the international with Ireland runners-up, Wales third and Scotland last.
