CRICKET: Burford triumphed in a triangular Ten10 Under 12s cricket tournament at Shipton-under-Wychwood CC.
Burford beat Chipping Norton by one run in a thrilling opener in the ten overs-a-side competition.
Chipping Norton bounced back to defeat Carterton by 12 runs in their second game.
But Burford clinched the title with a two-run success against Carterton in an exciting finale.
All the youngsters had received after-school coaching as part of Shipton's Get into Cricket programme.
The initiative intends to raise participation in cricket for both boys and girls in West Oxfordshire.
The project was part funded by Awards for All and also provides coaching equipment for the club.
Shipton's Sri-Lankan A player, Sahan Wijerantne, who also led the coaching, presented the trophy.
RESULTS Burford 56-3, Chipping Norton 55-3.
Chipping Norton 68-7, Carterton 56-6.
Burford 65-3, Carterton 63-3.
