Oxford Mail Camera Club members have been taking photos of historic buildings.

Churches, abbeys and cathedrals were a popular subject matter and some Oxford colleges were also chosen.

Some striking images of buildings around the UK were taken, including a lighthouse in Wales.
Lots of entries could have been selected as the photo of the week but in the end we picked Sarah Wade’s shot of people walking along Merton Street in Oxford.
Each week camera club members are given a theme and then post their photos on the club’s Facebook page.
A selection of pictures are chosen to feature in the Oxford Mail and online. For more information about camera club visit the club’s Facebook page. The next theme is iconic sights in Oxford and Oxfordshire.
