An Oxfordshire photographer captured a striking rainbow which appeared following intermittent spells of rain and sunshine.
Hedley Thorne, an aerial photographer of historic landscapes, captured the image looking over Lollingdon Hill, set against black rain clouds over The Chilterns.
The photo was taken near Aston Tirrold.
Mr Thorne shared the image via X.
It elicited an overwhelmingly positive response, with other users on the platform complimenting his artistic and photographic eye.
