A GP practice in Witney has announced one of its young doctors has died after she had given birth to a baby boy.
Dr May McCrea, a partner at Windrush Medical Practice in Welch Way was a new mother.
In a statement on the surgery's website, her colleagues said: "The team at Windrush Medical Practice are very sad to announce the death of our GP partner Dr May McCrea.
"Dr McCrea passed away on Wednesday February 28 after a short illness, having given birth to a healthy baby boy.
"All our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Dr McCrea’s family and friends at this difficult time."
The surgery which is based at the Windrush Health Centre is described as "one of the leading GP practices in Witney".
