A PLEA hearing for a man accused of assault and intentional strangulation has been delayed.
Shaun Johnson, 40, was due in Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (March 20) charged with one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, affray and intentional strangulation.

He is accused of assaulting Connor Mallin in Banbury on August 11 last year as one causing him to fear for his personal safety and intentionally strangling him.
Johnson, of Bar Street, Banbury, was due to enter a plea but the case has now been adjourned.
He is next due in the same court on April 4 at 10am for a postponed plea hearing. It will then be decided if the case can be dealt with in the lower court or is sent to Crown.
