Oxfordshire looks set to have a pretty miserable Easter weekend as the Met Office predicts an unsettled few days.

The UK's national weather service issued a yellow weather for Scotland - but not for England or Wales.

BBC Weather, however, has stated that light rain and wind showers are likely on Tuesday and Wednesday in the South of England and London with highs of 11C and 12C respectively.

Tonight:

Remaining cloudy but dry for most of the region this evening and overnight, but outbreaks of rain are possible towards dawn. Breezy near the coast at times. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Tuesday:

Cloudy on Tuesday with outbreaks of rain, persistent in places and turning locally heavy at times. Light winds. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Strong winds, particularly on the south coast, and periods of heavy, showery rain. Some brighter spells, particularly on Wednesday afternoon and Friday. Temperatures are below average, and feeling chilly in the wind.

The Easter weekend is likely to be unsettled with rain or showers in most regions at times, but also some drier and brighter spells. The heaviest and most frequent showers are more likely to be in southern and western areas.

Later in the weekend, northern areas may become drier with increasing amounts of sunshine. Compared to the coming week, the Easter weekend is likely to be a little warmer.

Into the following week, continued unsettled or changeable weather remains the most likely outcome.

All areas are likely to see further rain or showers at times, with some drier spells in between, but wet weather will tend to favour the south whilst northern parts remain a bit drier on average.
