Eight people have been arrested following a drugs and weapons seizure at properties across Oxfordshire and beyond.

Thames Valley Police carried out six warrants at addresses across West Berkshire and South Oxfordshire and the Vale of the White Horse on Tuesday morning.

This was under Section 8 of the Police and Criminal Act and a total of eight arrests have been made for a variety of offences concerning the supply of drugs.

All of the suspects have been released on conditional bail whilst a quantity of Class A, B and C drugs, cash and weapons were seized across the properties.

The force announced on Wednesday morning that the arrest had been made and that the illegal materials had also been seized during a public announcement.

Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Bill Sykes said: “There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes to help tackle the possession and supply of drugs across the Thames Valley.

“I hope these warrants demonstrate that we take reports of drug-related offences seriously and will take action to deal with criminality in your local area.

“The information from the public around the drug supply offences in the Thames Valley plays an important role in developing intelligence into a proactive investigation.

“If you have any information we would encourage you to report it to us by calling 101 or through the online reporting on our website.”
