A busy walkway in Oxford’s city centre is currently closed with the ground dug up.
Friar’s Entry is a popular path between Gloucester Green and Magdalen Street which the public uses to get between the two spots as well as visit businesses on the walkway.
Turtle Bay bar as well as The White Rabbit pub are among those located on Friar’s Walk and have been difficult to access since works began on Tuesday, March 19.
Oxfordshire County Council are overseeing the work which they have detailed as footway improvement works.
The walkway is set to reopen on Thursday, March 28, with works currently on schedule after over a week of the closure.
George Street nearby has also been closed to traffic until Thursday as emergency gas works are enacted.
