Waddesdon Manor offers Easter events and wine tastings

Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire is planning activities including an outdoor trail with games and a chance to walk through the the venue's gardens.

There will also be Welly Wanging and Wheelbarrow Racing as well as the chance to decorate Easter trees.

The newly-refurbished woodland playground will be open and, from March 27 to April 13, will offer face painting activities.

Inside the manor, which has re-opened after its annual winter 'hibernation' for cleaning and preservation procedures, there will be hidden bunnies for young visitors to spot and also a chance to explore the art collections within the property.

Wine enthusiasts can enjoy expert-guided tasting sessions scheduled for the Easter weekend, from March 29 to April 1.

Up to eight wines from Rothschild Estates will be sampled.

Sunday roasts are on the menu at the Manor Restaurant, prepared by Waddesdon's chefs.

Admission for adults to the grounds is £13.50 and to the house and grounds is £25.50, while children and National Trust members can enter for free.

Extra charges apply for the Easter adventures trail, face painting, wine tastings and Sunday lunches.
