Five motorists were caught speeding in Launton in one day last week.
The Community Speedwatch and Bicester Neighbourhood Policing teams caught the vehicles on Bicester Road on Wednesday, March 27.
The Community Speedwatch scheme is a national initiative which sees community members record details of speeding vehicles with the supervision and support of the police.
The vehicles were clocked exceeding the 20mph limit in the area.
The registered keepers of the vehicles will receive a letter outlining the dangers and potential repercussions of their actions.
Repeat offenders will receive a visit from the police force covering the area of the crime, irrespective of where they live, and criminal prosecution can follow if necessary.
For more information on participating in the Community Speedwatch scheme, visit the Thames Valley police and crime commissioner's website.
