Plans have been put forward to build new homes in an area "with a need for more housing".
Applicant Brendan Heenan has applied to Cherwell District Council for planning permission to introduce seven to nine additional houses to the village and civil parish of Fritwell, just north of Bicester.
A covering letter for the application says: "Fritwell has identified the need for more housing to support the sustainability of the existing services.

"In 2022, an outline planning application was made for a large scheme, which prior to determination the scheme was withdrawn by the applicant.
"During the application process the conservation officer did comment.
"A few points raised were the proposed overdevelopment and the need for it to fit in with the adjacent heritage asset.
"The application has addressed the point by vastly reducing the scale of the development, to reflect the surrounding area, and impact on the adjacent heritage asset."
The development land sits adjacent to North Street and extends to 0.7 hectares.
The applicant describes Fritwell as forming "one of the more sustainable rural settlements in the district, offering a good range of facilities and services for residents of the village".
Thames Valley Police and Anglian Water are among the consultees who have been contacted for comment with no objections having yet been made.
The application has a target decision date of May 2 and comments are due by April 25.
Further details on the proposed new homes are yet to be submitted.
