A charity is appealing for help to pay for the care of a stray cat who was found with a horrific head injury.
Thirteen-year-old Rocky was 'trapped' by Cherwell Cats Protection after being told about him by a concerned member of the public.
After catching him quickly volunteers took him to the vets.
He was found to have a very old untreated wound on his face so deep it resulted in his face rotting away.

He was also severely underweight and suffering dental problems after living on the street for 10 years.
Staff and volunteers named him Rocky because of his hard start in life.
The charity has published its Spring appeal which will help fund Rocky's road to recovery.

Cherwell Cats Protection said: "He’s starting a new chapter of his life so we wanted to give him a completely fresh start and new name.
"Just looking at him, you can see what a very tough time he’s had."
"He has bad teeth and needs a dental. He’s underweight and sadly he is also a carrier of FIV.
"But despite the fact he must be in agony he absolutely loves fuss and gets so excited he can’t sit still when he sees you.

"We can’t wait to help him on his way to the life he deserves."
Rocky has now been neutered and is on antibiotics and pain relief medication. His face has been cleaned, but it must be left open to heal.
Cherwell Cats Protection said he has "a very long road to recovery", but will publish regular updates on his progress.
