A new bus service is set to be introduced in Banbury along with several changes to existing services.

Stagecoach Oxfordshire will make adjustments to services B3, B4, B5, B9, and introduce the new B10 service from May 12.

Stagecoach said the changes were "predominately punctuality improvements" and would help the timetables "more accurately reflect journey times".

These changes have also considered the needs of Banbury's industrial unit workers, aligning services with shift patterns.

The new B10 service will operate 10 daily trips Monday to Friday.

It will run from Banbury Bus Station bay four to Grimsbury Co-op, Grimsbury Tesco, Grimsbury Priory Vale Road, Ermont Way and Chalker Way.

There will be minor modifications to the B3 and B4 timetables, ensuring departures are timely.

B5 services have been adjusted to improve intervals between departures, and the first trip will now run at 5am - 15 minutes earlier than it had been running.

This alteration will allow for better connections to B4 and B10 services.

Changes to the B9 service include rerouting through Nickling Road in Hardwick, offering a closer service for Hanwell Chase residents.

Although Dukes Meadow Drive will no longer be served, passengers can still use stops at Greville Road or Usher Park Drive.

Evening and Sunday trips will serve Wildmere Road Industrial Estate only in one direction, towards the town centre.
