Tuesday evening was our 'bring some nibbles and a bottle' night for Christmas. We did start to read a play honestly but with the festive mood no one's heart was in it. The beauty of our group is that there is a great social side to it. As I have said before there is a lot going on throughout the year and I think this is an excellent way to go. Many people have been in the group for longer than they care to imagine. Linda Hudosn joined in 1974, Nick O'Keeffe was in it before I joined in 1971. Though he did have a break in Ireland for 8 years. Now George Pulley joined in 1956 I believe although he did wander off for several years, and David Greenaway must have been a member for well over twenty years. The group bonds well and I am sure it is partly due to the social side.
Back to Tuesday. I was asked if I would shave most of my hair off for a particular part in a play that is being considered. Now although I am losing the fine main I possessed as a lad, I was one of generation who always carried a comb in his back pocket and was forever running it through well maintained locks. So the answer aws and remains no. What a trouper-what an actor-what a dick!
Anyway the hair stays on my head. Next question.
May I wish any readers a great Christmas and a dramatic new year.
