Didcot's new £7.4m arts centre Cornerstone got off to a flying start in its inaugural season, with almost half of all shows sold out.
Highlights included the Ukulele Orchestra, comedian Ed Byrne, Sing-a-Long-Sound-of Music, and The Nutcracker ballet.
Staff said more than 8,500 tickets had sold since September, with visitors coming from across Oxfordshire and beyond. Thousands also took part in classes, including creative writing and street jazz.
Forthcoming shows scheduled include the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, Sing-a-Long Joseph, ABBA Magic, and comedian Andy Parsons. New classes, including flamenco, salsa, acting and contemporary knitting have also begun.
Centre director Emma Dolman said: “The reputation of the venue is growing among professional acts as well as local people. It’s got a lovely feel to it and we have had very positive feedback.”
Tickets can now be bought online at cornestone-arts.org, and a membership scheme is also available, offering discounts and priority booking.
